“Defending the Future: Mother Warthog’s Determined Fight Against Leopard for Cubs”
The leopard used its superior strength and sharp teeth to bite the little wild boar. The pig didn’t know how to escape the predator when its mother suddenly appeared. Using all her strength, the mother wild boar rammed a huge blow that forced the leopard to release razor-sharp teeth from the piglet.
After the piglet escaped from the leopard’s clutches, it ran away with its mother. The leopard watched and was helpless.
This impressive photo was taken by photographer Kooz Fourie during a trip to Kruger National Park, South Africa. Kooz, 60, a South African national, said: “We saw three wild boars running ahead. I decided to stop taking pictures and aim my lens at the oldest one. When I pressed the button, I heard the piglet squealing. Then I spotted a leopard clutching a baby wild boar. The leopard is trying to kill the little pig.”
Kooz said that shortly after, the mother wild boar appeared from behind and slammed into the leopard and rammed the beast in the ribs. It even turned around once more to make the leopard forced to let go of the piglet.
Kooz said he was happy to capture this magical moment. He said he learned a great lesson from nature before the sacred maternal love that animals have for their children.
The leopard “cowardly” watched the two pigs run away.
