ʜᴇʀᴏɪɴe lioness roused a band of ravenous wild dogs to ᴀᴛᴛᴀᴄᴋ her, causing her pups to run away. Shalin Fernando saw a mother and her cub being besieged by the ravenous pack while on a safari in the Moremi Game Reserve in Bᴏᴛsᴡᴀɴᴀ.
The lioness rushed out at a few of the dogs as the pack of at least nine predators drew near, luring the other members of the pack to encircle the two. The young cub snuck away and hid in a tree distance from the chaos as the pack concentrated completely on the mother.
For the lioness and her pup, Shalin voiced her ᴀᴡᴇ and dread. Before moving on to search for wild dogs, they spent around 30 minutes admiring a stunning lioness and her cub.
The stray dogs encircled and started ᴀᴛᴛᴀᴄᴋing the lioness and her youngster as soon as they got to the sᴄᴇɴᴇ. According to the guide, she had ʟᴏsᴛ every cub before. The dogs kept trying to ᴀᴛᴛᴀᴄᴋ, but eventually gave up and departed. All was good for the lioness and her youngster. The next day, when they went to check on the wild dogs, they noticed that one of them was limping and had been bitten.
