The wild boar, also known as the wild swine or wild pig, is a species of pig native to Eurasia, North Africa, and parts of the Indian subcontinent. It is the ancestor of the domestic pig.

Wild boars have a robust build and can vary in size, depending on the subspecies and region. They typically have a large head with a prominent snout, a muscular body, and relatively short legs.

Adult males, known as boars, are usually larger and have tusks that curve upward. Their fur is coarse and can range in color from dark brown or black to reddish-brown or sandy.


Wild boars are famous for their bravery and when faced with danger they are ready to fight to survive. A python made a fatal mistake when trying to attack a baby wild boar.

The mother wild boar detects danger and immediately attacks, the python moves quite slowly and cannot escape. The python received a painful beating and the mother wild boar successfully defended her baby.
