Terrifying moment gorilla charges woman and shoves her to the ground during safari tour
A woman celebrating her honeymoon with her new husband was left in a state of shock when she was charged at and pushed over by a giant gorilla .
Gemma Cosgriff, 29, was enjoying her holiday with spouse Damian when they encountered the animal on a safari tour in Rwanda.
The terrifying video shows the 300kg mountain gorilla charging across the long grass towards Gemma, dressed in a bright pink jacket, and shoving her to the floor.

e long grass for a split second while the wild animal moves away, before being helped to her feet by a tour guide.
Mrs Cosgriff told 9News: “I was fearing for my life in that split second.”
Gemma had previously been told by safari leaders to act submissively if approached by one of the animals and crucially, avoid eye
“I’d been given advice not to look in his eyes so I was like, ‘don’t look at him, don’t look at him’,” she added.
Gemma said she wasn’t injured by the gorilla and said its soft hands cushioned the impact on her chest.
