A life-and-death battle when the spotted black snake and the red-bellied black snake decide to fight each other to eat meat
ᴀᴄᴄɪᴅᴇɴᴛly, a wOᴍᴀɴ came across two ᴘᴏɪsᴏɴᴏᴜs snakes engaged in a ᴅᴇᴀᴅly struggle for survival; she photographed the horrifying image.
Jenny Hillman saw a red-bellied black snake ғɪɢʜᴛing a larger snake while she was out on a walk ᴄʟᴏsᴇ to her farm in Ballandean, Queensland, south of Stanthorpe and not far from the New South Wales border. As soon as Ms. Hillman realized what she was witnessing, she grabbed her phone and began filming the fierce struggle between the two strange adversaries.
She later uploaded the video online, showing a brown snake grabbing onto a red-bellied black snake that is frantically trying to get away. The brown snake is repeatedly bitten as the red-bellied black snake makes an effort to chase it away.
The red-bellied black snake makes an attempt to flee at one point, but he is unable to do so since he is caught in the brown snake’s jaws. As a result, many sᴜʀᴘʀɪsᴇd Internet users have left comments on the page, many of whom have discussed the snake standoff on social media.
According to Bryan Fry, an associate professor at the University of Queensland’s School of Biological Sciences, black snakes, especially spotted black snakes, are commonly observed gulping down other snakes.
