Terrified when people caught a 4 meter long king cobra weighing 17 kg in Kien Giang Vietnam

At Dong Tam 2 farm in Suoi Da hamlet (Duong To commune, Phu Quoc city, Kien Giang province) is raising and preserving 7 types of snakes including scorpions, red-tailed vipers, and ground cobras. In particular, there are king cobras (commonly known as cloud tigers) 4m long, weighing up to 17kg.

Dong Tam 2 snake farm is raising 7 species of snakes (there are 4 poisonous snakes including ground cobra, red-tailed viper, scorpion snake and especially king cobra).

Mr. Nguyen Tan Loc – the person in charge of the Dong Tam 2 snake farm said that snakes raised here were caught from the locality and brought by forest rangers, especially the king cobra was brought back from Dong Tam 1 snake farm.

“The snake farm serves the needs of visitors to learn about poisonous snakes and non-venomous species to know how to avoid and protect themselves,” Mr. Loc added.

In terms of lifespan, wild king cobras can live about 20 years. The estimated maximum lifespan is 30 years.

In particular, with the king cobra, they do not eat mice, frogs, frogs… Their food is the same, many other poisonous snakes even swallow pythons that are smaller than them.

Mr. Pham Trung Hieu (Ca Mau tourist) shared, for the first time seeing the king cobras with his own eyes, he felt both scared and excited.

“I’ve seen cobras of only a few kilograms, but when I came here, I was really surprised because of the huge size of the king cobra weighing nearly 20kg,” said Hieu.
