The African buffalo is one of the largest herbivores in Africa. Although this is one of the lion’s favorite prey, the “lord of the steppe” often faces many difficulties to defeat the buffalo.
The clip was recorded by a tourist at a nature reserve in Tanzania. It seemed that this wild buffalo had become a meal for predators, but the appearance of fellows in the herd created a “miracle”.
Instead of the buffalo herd joining forces to confront the lion to rescue their fellows, the buffaloes stood around as if to cheer the ill-fated buffalo to get free from the lion’s grip.
Some buffaloes are even reckless, even using their horns to threaten lions. Receiving the support of its fellows, the buffalo seemed to have more strength to rise up to escape from the lion’s jaws that were biting.
