Snake found in Adelaide woman’s stove top

A metre-long snake has been found taking shelter in the kitchen stove top of a northwest Adelaide home.
The Semaphore woman returned home just after midday yesterday when she saw the eastern brown snake slither past on the kitchen floor.
She phoned a snake catcher who eventually found the reptile coiled around wires in the kitchen’s stove.
Experts say snake sightings are increasing as the weather warms up, with spring being the time of year serpents mate.

If you see a snake on your property or in your home, experts say to contact a catcher immediately and not try to handle the removal yourself.
