Before that, a gray-haired, right-legged male monkey appeared in the tall trees behind the lumberyard where Luong Minh Tuan, 26 years old, was on TX25 on the afternoon of November 10. It approached, biting Tuan’s pants, scratching his leg. The next afternoon, when a worker sitting near the trees at the factory dialed the phone, this monkey suddenly swung down from above and bit many wounds on his hand. The monkey also attacks another human causing skin abrasions.
According to the HCM City ranger, this monkey is in group 2 of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES). This species has a natural instinct when hungry, will enter people’s houses to steal food and attack people, especially children. People do not arbitrarily arrest but should report to the specialized force.
At the beginning of the year, a herd of nearly a dozen long-tailed macaques also wreaked havoc in a residential area in Quarter 6, Thanh Xuan Ward, District 12. The Ho Chi Minh City Rangers then shot an anesthetic to relocate 6 of the herd to take care of them first. when released into the wild. At the end of May, a rare monkey about 10 kg also disturbed and stole food from people’s houses and markets in District 8 for many months, making people uneasy.
