Baboons teach leopards a lesson when trying to climb a tree to kill it
This leopard learned a valuable lesson. In this tense video, a leopard is trying to ʜᴜɴᴛ a baboon up a tree, but things go horribly wrong! The leopard is completely sᴛᴀʀᴛʟᴇd as the persistent baboon comes around to confront it in an aggressive manner. The leopard stumbles as it runs away and ends up hanging to the branches in a rather ungainly manner.
The leopard’s front limbs fall from the branch and strike the woodland floor, making the situation considerably worse. Fortunately, this cat still has some life left in it. We can see him sloping back into the underbrush towards the conclusion of the film. When he takes on a baboon again, hopefully they will be more cautious!
This video was recorded at Zɪᴍʙᴀʙᴡᴇ’s lower Zambezi National Park, which extends along the Zambezi River for about 50 kilometers and is upstream of Victoria Falls. It offers a wide range of ecosystems and is home to many large species, including baboons, big cats, elephants, giraffes, and zebras.
Baboons are large, robustly built creatures that live throughout Africa and Asia. Even when a leopard is not attempting to ʜᴜɴᴛ them, baboons are renowned for being violent and defensive when they see one. They have even been known to ᴋɪʟʟ leopards when they swarm it.
