According to a video posted by the Daily Mail, by the time the camera started rolling, the Komodo dragon – the largest lizard in the world, had swallowed half of the monkey. Then, after only a few times opening its mouth, it ate fresh, swallowing its prey whole.
The komodo dragon is one of the most ferocious carnivores in the world, it can devour animals as large as 80% of its body. This type of dragon usually eats pigs, deer and snakes. It can move at a speed of 25 km/h
The Komodo dragon’s saliva contains 50 different types of bacteria, and if the prey is able to escape after its first attack, its slaps will contaminate the prey’s blood.
This terrible carnivore has killed at least 4 people. In the most recent incident, in 2009, a man was killed after being chased by two komodo dragons and fell from a tree.
