A Deadly Transaction: Lizard’s Exorbitant Price for Rattlesnake Prey
A Tegu lizard, scientifically known as Tupinambis, is a large reptile native to South America originating from Southern Amazon or the Orinoco Basin. As a reptile, it uses its dexterous tongue to gather information about its surroundings, so when threatened, it uses its powerful snakelike bite to counterattack.
