Moment fearless Texas mom catches a huge snake after it slithered into her daughter’s car engine
A Texas mom has impressed the internet by fearlessly removing a snake from her daughter’s car engine in a moment that was captured on video.
Nicole Graham showed no hesitation as she plucked the large snake out of the engine compartment of her daughter Haylie’s car in Burton on the northeastern outskirts of Houston.
Graham told Fox 26 Houston that the snake, which she described as a non-venomous rat snake, fled into the Mini Cooper’s engine block after she removed it from a nearby chicken coop, where it was likely searching for eggs.
As Haylie filmed with her phone, Graham can be seen grasping the snake by the tail with a gloved hand and using a stick to control its head.

‘Picking snakes up, it’s not for everybody. Obviously, you always need to be cautious because it may not always be a nonvenomous snake, it could definitely be poisonous,’ said Graham.
‘So just be careful and do what you feel comfortable with.’
Rat snakes are common in many parts of North America, but do not pose a threat to humans.
