A 33-foot-long anaconda was discovered by sᴛᴀʀᴛʟᴇd workers on a Bʀᴀᴢɪʟian construction site. After performing a controlled explosion in the Cave of Altamira in the northern state of Para, the workers found the enormous reptile.

One of the team members recorded a video that pans along the snake’s massive body, which has a diameter of one meter. It weighs 400kg!

When the employees made the startling discovery, they tethered the animal to a crane and later pulled it up to display its yellow-spotted underbelly. Many people think that because the animal’s head was flat, it may have been ᴋɪʟʟed in the explosion or ʜɪᴛ by falling debris.

In contrast to pythons, anacondas are semi-aquatic snakes that can be found in tropical South America, particularly in the Amazon. They are renowned for their swimming prowess and are among the biggest snakes in the world.

According to Reptiles Cove, anacondas are thicker than other boas and are a stocky, muscular snake. They have wide but massive heads and thick necks. Because their eyes and nose are located on top of their heads, anacondas can look above the water while yet spending the majority of their time submerged. Their eyes and mouth are separated by a broad black line.

The snake Medusa, which is 25 feet 2 inches long and is kept in Kansas City, Kansas, presently holds the Guinness World Record for the longest snake kept in captivity.
