Cruel battle in the jungle as monkeys fight leopards to save their babies
A leopard heading in the direction of the baboon, but quickly taking cover in more thicket. After a long time, the leopard appeared, and the baboons began to go wild, barking frantically and trying to warn their friends. The baboons arrived at the tree and ten immediately climbed up and the leopard started to attack the baboons!
Balancing high up in the trees, this powerful leopard spots its next meal… a baby baboon teetering on the end of a branch. Baby baboons was cornered out on a small limb at least 30 ft up from the ground. The standoff lasted for at least 20 min and the leopard got to within about five feet of the baby baboons.
The baby baboons hangs on to the edge of a thin branch in order to keep the leopard at bay. The predator, meanwhile, does its best to reach the baby baboons and make a meal of it. After several failed attempts to reach the baby baboons, the leopard tries to shake the branch to get the primate to fall off.
The leopard can also be seen trying to catch hold of the baboons with all its speed and strength. But his strength goes down in front of agility. When he falls down, the baboons surrounded his, coming as close as they dared. At one point, one of the baboons grabbed the leopard by his tail. The leopard spun around but the baboons don’t backed off, perhaps remembering the damage that the leopard had inflicted on their friend. Eventually, the leopard made it back to the bush and the baboons moved away slowly.
